In a joint effort between Max Fernandez and Kyle Gellis, the 2 Young Cigar blenders introduced “Guardian of The Farm Apollo Seleccion de Warped” at the IPCPR 2016. Nutty in character with hints of cinnamon, the name came after the 3 Farm Bulldogs, which gave the 3 vitolas’ names:
- Campeon, 6” x 52,
- JJ, 5 1/4” x 50,
- Apollo Selecció De Warped, 6” x 44 which is also a limited edition.
This classic Lonsdale Colorado Cigar is perfectly based on Nicaraguan Leaves. A shade-grown Corojo 99 wrapper, a Corojo 99 binder with a filler consisting of Criollo 98 and Corojo 99.
In a discussion with Cigar Aficionado, Fernandez said: “Naming our next collaboration Guardian of the Farm is about achieving the same destiny. For me, the farm is the crucial element in flavor for the smoker.”
