#23 in 2017: La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Lancero (Oscuro)

La-Flor-Dominicana-Double-Ligero-Lancero-1A Masterpiece in the world of Lancero Cigars, and one of the special LFD series. Ladies & Gentlemen: introducing La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Lancero.

Introduced in 2003, however, the Cigar wasn’t released yet till 2006 when LFD made the below statement:
“The LFD DL Lanceros is a special cigar in many ways. Most notably it was never intended for production. Litto made this unique size for the enjoyment of himself and dear friends. Litto preferred the Lanceros in a 7x 38 size, meek in appearance but full of La Flor’s potent double ligero flavor. The cigar was so delicious to smoke that it was nearly impossible to keep this one under wraps.”

In general, Lancero size makes the smoke smoother. However, with a thinner ring gauge, the smoke is concentrated. A glance of Wasabi sauce welcomes you from the head after a smooth cut. The wrapper gives a touch of sweet cocoa with a spicy flavor. Though a spicy smoke from the beginning, you get a well balanced leather and coffee flavor throughout the smoke till the end. In general, the smoke produces a peppery and cedar aroma.

The LFD Double Ligero Lancero Cigars are characterized by being grown at Litto Gomez’s (the Brand Owner) farm in La Canela, which is dryer and hotter than other places where Cigar is grown in the Dom. Rep.
