Walk in Humidors can vary from a small space “Walk-in Humidor” to a bigger one to fit even more than 5 people. However, what characterizes a good from a bad one is the way the Cigar Shop/Lounge owners maintain these humidors and make sure their humidification system is efficient and reaching every Cigar in the room.
Each well maintained “Walk-in Humidor” should have an automatic system that should turn on and provide an excessive quantity of humidity to cover the amount lost while opening the door and moving in.
For that, when you walk in, close the door behind you and stay for 2 to 3 minutes. This system should turn on and will be visible to anyone inside. If it does not, it’s your first sign that Cigars are not well maintained and might be dry.
